Heavenly Cheddar Dill Scones

I’ve turned over a new leaf.  I never used to be a scone fan.  I felt they were too dry, boring, and certainly inferior to the muffin, sweet bread, etc.  Boy, was a wrong!  I guess I’d just never had a GOOD scone.  And a good scone leaves all of those other aforementioned items in the dust!

I’ve been trying various scone recipes over the past 6 months: jalapeno, blueberry, apple cheddar (yum!), etc.  And recently, I tried these Cheddar Dill Scones.

You must try these!  Next time you’re craving a savory scone, whip up a batch of these.

I found this winning recipe here, at the Food Newtork’s website.   I was worried that a whole cup of dill might be a bit overwhelming, but I was wrong!  The only change I made is that I substituted half and half for cream (couldn’t quite stomach the idea of using all that cream), and they still turned out delicious!

Give them a try!

Do any of you have any favorite scone recipes to share?
